Catering Provision at The Deepings School
We are very proud of our excellent in-house catering provision which is led by experienced catering manager Kate Carr and assistant catering manager Jemma Burd
There are various locations for students to purchase food and drink:
- Year 7 Café - open to everyone for Breakfast Club, daily 0800-0830 and then just year 7 at break and lunchtime
- The main counter – Year’s 8,9,10,11 hot and cold food at break and lunch
- Hall trolley – Year’s 8,9,10,11 Hot and cold food
- Snack Shack – years 8,9,10,11, hot and cold food
- The Sixth Form Café - exclusively for sixth formers in the Centre and open all day from 10.40 until 1.20.
Our menu can be found below and have been carefully planned by our in-house catering team to provide maximum taste, quality and value throughout the whole school day in line with the new School Food Standards.
Our menus offer a wide range of traditional meals, along with popular, international dishes and snacks. The team are proud to introduce new tastes and new produce into our menus.
We are committed to providing value for money especially with our popular Meal Deal, a daily choice of a two-course hot meal with drink which offers outstanding value for a fixed price of £2.75. As well as the three weekly lunch menu there is also a daily choice of filled jacket potatoes, salads, wraps, sandwiches, panini’s, fruit salads, fresh fruit, yoghurt, drinks and biscuits*, cakes*, cookies* & waffles. (* lunchtimes only & school compliant)
All student allowances are set to allow a maximum to spend of £4.50 per day. If you would like your child to be able to exceed the limit please contact us.
Free School Meals – don’t forget that if you receive FSM your £2.75 allowance per day will go onto your account by lunchtime. If you’re eligible, please remind your child it’s there for them to spend.
