Exams: well done to all Y11 students who have now completed their GCSE mock exams! Hopefully, the results will be good from this important stage in their preparations for GCSE exams in the summer. Good luck to Y9 students who begin their week of internal exams on Monday 2nd December.
Murder / Mystery: the English department organised a superb day for students in Y9 last Monday. Speaking, listening, problem solving, teamwork were all key skills promoted throughout the day. The external company who provided the activities were very complimentary about the attitude and behaviour of our students.
Oxbridge preparation: once again we have six students who are considering applying to either Oxford or Cambridge. Mock interviews have begun and we work alongside students from AMVC. Good luck to all Y13 who are applying for University anywhere!
Y13 Progress Evening: on Tuesday saw many students and their parents meet with tutors and Sixth Form staff to discuss progress towards A Levels in the summer!
Governors: the steering committee (Chairs of sub committees, Head, Chair and Vice Chair) met on Tuesday evening to discuss recent meetings, clarify actions and prepare the agenda for the forthcoming Full Governors meeting. 
Network news magazine: we have not forgotten this year's magazines and a new version of the newsletter / magazine is being drafted and edited as I write; it should be available to all parents immediately after Xmas.
Sport: congratulations to the U19 Girls netball team who narrowly lost in the County Final to Stamford High School, by one goal; both teams will represent Lincolnshire at the regional Tournament in the New Year. Out very able trampoline stars have been taking part in a National competition this weekend - results to follow next week.

Thursday 19th December - Annual School Carol Service at St Guthlacs' Church, Market Deeping at 7pm.
Friday 20th December - Last day of term (College Assemblies); school closes at 2pm
Tuesday 7th January - Students return to school
