GCSE Information Evening - this new event was held on Monday and saw a great turn out! It is essential that parents are fully informed about the changes and demands for this current year. Year 11 students received a similar talk and presentation on Friday afternoon. If we all work and commit together then we have a great chance of success next summer!
The Big Draw - took place last Saturday with lots of students, parents, staff and members of the community coming together in the school hall to enjoy and experience the world of Art!
Visit to The National Holocaust Centre - Our y12 Philosophy and Ethics students spent Thursday at this venue as a key part of their course.
Geography Trips - it was very encouraging to see so many parents attending the presentations for future trips to Iceland and Yorkshire in the Conference Centre on Thursday evening.
Whole School staff training - all staff enjoyed a two hour session led by Mrs Benjamin, on Thursday, to look at improving 'differentiation' in all lessons and subject areas.
College competitions - several events have taken place this week as the College structure continues to develop at a pace!
Year 9 Options - Mr Ladley, Deputy Head, presented to the parents of students in all three Colleges on Thursday evening. The current changes to GCSE, BTec and A Level were explained and the school's approach to these changes was confirmed. The quality of his presentation was superb!
