A positive return to school after the half term break!
Assemblies: all Year groups have had assemblies this week based around the schools' behaviour policy; this is something that we do every year and it enables us to remind students of some key messages.
Community Open Evening: took place on Monday and was very well attended. The school has had more cosmetic work carried out over the holiday with several public areas having decoration and new flooring. new signage and student images have been placed in the public corridors and all of these areas look great. Visitors were escorted through the new areas by 6th Form guides before meeting up with staff and other guests in the new 6th Form Centre.
Sporting achievements this week: Individual winners at the District XC included - Georgia Gibbs, Emma Gibbs and 2nd places for Austin Herbert and Jasmine Oldfield. The U19 Netball team won the District Tournament. Girls Football saw two wins 9-0 and 3-2.
Y11 Parents Evening: took place on Thursday and was very well attended.
The Big Draw: took place in school on Saturday and was a great success; lots of students (young and old) and parents enjoyed the experience. Thanks to the Art Department for organising such a great event!
