Year 10 football V’s Bourne Grammar
The year 10 team travelled to Bourne Grammar in their opening fixture of the 2015-16 campaign. After the short journey, and a quick warm up the game was underway. The Deeping team were focused from the beginning and were moving the ball around the pitch extremely well. Jack Banham and Jamie Roe were in total control, playing a style of football that was excellent to watch; two touch passing, manipulating the Bourne Grammar team around pitch. It was a stand back and admire moment. Then we took the lead through James Ware, neatly lobbing the on-rushing keeper.
However, Bourne Grammar kicked off and within 30 seconds had equalised and were right back in the game. The game continued in the same fashion. Oliver Piddington and Cameron Baldock Smith were marshalling from the back. Whilst James Ware and Vance Holland were causing all kinds of problems in attack. The game finished 4-1 with a further goal from James Ware, with Archie Adams and Vance Holland adding to the total as well. A great performance from the team and a great way to start the season.

Year 10 Netball V’s Bourne Grammar School
The squad of eight travelled away to Bourne for the first game of the season. The squad included: Shanice Forster, Imogen Morgan, Caitlin Back, Chloe Squires, Leah Forster, Beth Edmonds, Steph Watkinson and Jodie Wilson. The first quarter saw both teams making some silly mistakes with their passing and finished with a BGS lead of 6-3. After settling BGS took control and dictated play in the second quarter.
The third quarter saw Deeping dig deep and managed to prevent BGS from extending their lead further. Unfortunately the Bourne team were just too strong and their early season training certainly shone through. Many positives for the Deeping squad to take away. Deeping may not have been victorious on the day but their attitude and commitment were second to none. Well done girls, let’s move onwards and upwards!
